Some of the files available on this Web site are in Portable Data Format (PDF).  This format is used to conserve space, to preserve the original layout of the available documents, and enable you to download the available documents into a file that can be copied to your computer and re-printed multiple times. You will need a special reader to print these files after you have downloaded them.

The following are general instructions on how to download the PDF files available on this Web site, plus how to get the free Acrobat Reader software and use it to print the PDF files.

Step 1 - Downloading Acrobat Reader :
(If you already have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, you can skip this part.)

  1. Go to the Adobe® Web site.
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen to download the version of Acrobat® Reader you want.
  3. After the download is complete, quit your Web browser.
  4. Install Acrobat Reader on your computer according to the instructions provided by Adobe®.
Step 2 - Downloading PDF Files:
  1. Log on to www.childlead.com.
  2. Find the PDF file you want and click on it.  (Acrobat® Reader will open the PDF file for you to view.  This takes a few seconds.)
  3. Once the document is displayed in Acrobat® Reader, you may either print the file while on-line or save the file to your computer and print it later.
