Types of Lead Certificates Available:
The Department of Health Services (DHS), Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch issues five types of lead certificates for individuals who do lead-related construction and lead abatement in residential and public buildings.  The five types of certificates are:

Lead Inspector/Assessor:  Someone who assesses the amount of lead hazard in buildings before, during or after lead-related construction work.

Lead Project Designer:  Someone who prepares the specifications, detailed design work and cost estimates for lead-related construction project.

Lead Project Monitor: Someone who oversees lead-related construction work to make sure that contract plans and specifications are followed, and who does testing to see if lead contamination has occurred.

Lead Supervisor:  Someone who implements lead-related construction work and enforces the work practices that ensure worker safety.

Lead Worker:  Someone who performs lead-related construction work under the direction of a Lead Supervisor.
